Black + White + Love All Over

We didn’t plan this- I swear. Last Saturday, one girl left Burlingame by BART while the other left Pacific Heights by bus, converging in Union Square for a day of shopping and catching up. I hadn’t planned on taking any outfit photos that day, but I couldn’t resist capturing our serendipitous black & white (yes, that’s my excuse for the iPhone photos up in here!).

Jillian is a girl who knows her personal style and rocks it every time. She jokes about being a one-trick pony with her consistent love of black & white, but I always say to embrace what you love (*cough*tunics and leggings*cough*). She always looks amazing!

During our much-needed catching up, we shopped Union Square (Madewell sale alert!), got pedicures, and finally enjoyed matching Ginger Rogers martinis at Top of the Mark, the beautiful bar atop the Mark Hopkins Hotel. If you want an unbeatable view of the city, head on over! And don’t forget your Ginger Rogers.

If you’re afraid of going too biker on us, try a small cluster of studs instead of the whole shebang! I love the subtle detailing on the clasp of the Sam Edelman Blair clutch and the barely-there pyramids on the bridge of a pair of vintage sunglasses.

So, the next time you throw on shorts and sandals, don’t forget to add a little attitude!
